1. Keep your resume short, direct and simple.
When writing your resume, make sure you keep it straight to the point. Research shows that the sweet spot for standard resumes is between 476 and 800 words.
Most hiring managers will not bother reading resumes that that have more than 1,000 words!! It is a waste of time. Learning how to master the number of resume words to use will make you a resume genius. Executive resume writers and other free resume builders indicate the limit on the number of words to use.
2.Create an original resume template for your resume
Well, if you do some serious online search today, there are thousands of free resume templates that you use for your resume. However, you should aim at expressing creativity in your resume because you can easily stand out by doing so.
You can do this by changing the content and design of your resume. Use font colours ( *default font is the best font for resumes) , graphics and simple visuals. Another way of exploring creativity in your resume is by changing the layout using columns and text boxes. Also remember to use a good resume format for your resume.
